The Process of Mysticism: Carlos CastanedaThis is an investigation into aspects of the social and psychological processes of mystical experiences. Based on illustrations from Carlos Castaneda's books, the discussion focuses on the idea that production and solution of paradoxical situations play a central role in the process of a person's mystical journey. Paradoxical situations are examined in some detail; this and other characteristics of mystical experiencing are compared briefly with similar nonmystical experiences.1
